City Description


Appleton is a city located in the eastern section of the state of Wisconsin. The city is located in Outagamie, Calumet, and Winnebago Counties. Appleton is also the county seat of Outagamie County. Appleton was first settled in 1847 and then incorporated in 1853. The city was the childhood home of the magician Harry Houdini. Appleton is 100 miles north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
